hey peoples, just a quick question...

i got my school holidays coming up and i'm planing to go photo and painting MAD (don't worry this is a good thing)

to the photographers out there, i'm thinking of gettin a new/beta camera coz mine is a bit old and slow
(olympus camedia C-765)

should I? and if so, any suggestions of what type and brand is the best???

or just stick with my old/slow/faithful clicky box?

Since i'm not a photographer and hav only been taking photos for a few months, i dont have a CLUE.

all sugestions (good and bad) are welcom!
